This seminar will explore ways to relieve stress. Students will
increase their awareness of personal stressors and idiosyncratic stress
reactions, and will also learn how to control the stressors in their
lives through the development of a personal stress management plan. 0.5

Dealing with Elected and Public Officials, A366
This seminar will provide construction code personnel with the
information they need to successfully build working partnerships with
elected and other public officials. Types and forms of municipal
government will be explained, along with the power, duties, and
responsibilities of elected and public officials. 0.5 CEU

Assertiveness Training, AW03
This seminar teaches how to become more assertive and why you
should. The course addresses the reasons why our culture some times
teaches us to be less assertive. The differences between aggression and
assertion will be discussed. Students will come away with a good
grounding in both verbal and nonverbal assertion techniques, basic
negotiation and an understanding of stress and anger and a few
techniques to alleviate them. 0.5 CEU This five week online seminar will
begin on 3/26. You may log on at any time of the day or evening during
the five weeks you are registered. This seminar will be divided into
five modules, each composed of a lecture, interactive discussion board,
and interactive quiz. Each module will take one hour to complete. A
final quiz will judge the student�s mastery of the subject. You must
complete all modules to receive credit. To register call the Education
Unit at (609) 984-7820 and have both your license number and your email
address available. This seminar is also available to design
professionals. (This seminar will run 3/26 to 4/27)
Building the Ethical Government, AW07
This seminar will explore the concepts and roots of ethics and
morals, and expose the student to the �plain speaking definition of
ethics.� Ethics in a governmental context will be examined, including
motivators for unethical behavior, identification of the three types of
ethical practitioners in government, common terms and definitions in
governmental ethics, and the principles for building an ethical
government. The seminar will also include a section on the New Jersey
Local Government Ethics Law, financial discourse forms, and internal
controls. 0.5 CEU This five week online seminar will begin on 5/14. You
may log on at any time of the day or evening during the five weeks you
are registered. This seminar will be divided into five modules each
